Security has been heightened at the Hyderabad residence of South Indian superstar Allu Arjun after six individuals accused of vandalizing his house were granted bail by a local court.

The attack occurred on Sunday evening, reportedly carried out by six protestors claiming to be members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC). The incident was in response to the tragic death of a woman during a stampede at the premiere of Arjun’s upcoming film Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre.

The Hyderabad court’s decision to grant bail has led to additional security measures around Arjun’s home in Telangana’s capital. The attack has also sparked a political controversy, with allegations from BJP linking the attackers to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Kodangal assembly constituency. CM Reddy, however, has condemned the attack and instructed law enforcement to maintain order.

The tragic stampede at the film event resulted in the death of Revathi and injuries to her son, Sri Tej. In response, the makers of Pushpa 2 have extended financial assistance of ₹5 million to the victim’s family. Arjun himself pledged ₹2.5 million, and the film’s director Sukumar and his wife contributed an additional ₹500,000.
