According to recent reports, Shaheen Shah Afridi is likely to take over the captaincy of the Pakistani cricket team in the upcoming T20i series against Afghanistan. This decision comes after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to rest several key players, including current captain Babar Azam and wicket-keeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan.

Shaheen Shah Afridi is a talented left-arm fast bowler who has been a regular feature in the Pakistani cricket team for a few years now. He has performed well in both domestic and international cricket and is currently leading his team Lahore Qalandars in the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
