Pakistan men’s Test team captain, Shan Masood, marked a triumphant return to form by scoring his first century in four years during the first Test against England in Multan on Monday.

Masood’s brilliant innings came after Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. The left-handed opener played with remarkable fluency, scoring 100 runs in just 102 balls.

Masood’s unbeaten knock of 151 was the highlight of Pakistan’s strong start. He was well-supported by opener Abdullah Shafique, who also contributed a solid century, scoring 102 runs. Together, Masood and Shafique formed an impressive partnership of 253 runs, putting Pakistan in a commanding position.

Masood’s last Test century came in 2020, where he scored an impressive 156 runs against England in Manchester.
