Highlighting the rationale behind the coalition, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari emphasized the combined strength of PPP and PML-N asserting that they now possess the necessary numbers to establish a stable government at the federal level. He pointed out that candidates supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) failed to secure a simple majority, paving the way for the collaboration between PPP and PML-N.

During the press conference, Bilawal expressed gratitude to PML-N for their support in endorsing PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari for the presidency of Pakistan, showcasing the mutual cooperation between the two parties. PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif echoed these sentiments, affirming PML-N’s commitment to backing Asif Ali Zardari for the presidency.

Additionally, Shehbaz Sharif revealed that PML-N had encouraged PTI-backed independent candidates to form the government if they had the requisite numbers, demonstrating a willingness to respect democratic processes. However, in the absence of a viable alternative, PML-N opted to join forces with PPP to ensure a stable administration for the country.
