In a recent interview, David Wiese credited the Qalandars for giving him the platform to showcase his skills and thanked the franchise for helping him revive his career. Wiese, who was struggling to find his form in the international arena, was picked up by the Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2019.

Playing for the Qalandars, Wiese found his form and made a significant contribution to the team’s success in the tournament. “The Pakistan Super League has been a massive kick-start for my career and it’s all because of Lahore Qalandars for picking me in the replacement draft”, said Wiese.

Here’s what Wiese has to say about Lahore Qalandars

Recalling the time when his career was in shambles, David Wiese said, “Beforecoming to PSL, I wasn’t performing well in cricket. I wasn’t picked up in any other team but I am really thankful to Lahore Qalandars for showing faith and trusting my abilities. Fortunately, I did well in my first game and since then I am playing really good cricket which gave me a lot of confidence.”

“Since the moment, I joined the Qalandars, I am nothing but an improved version of myself. I am now able to perform in different and difficult stages. I am able to play a lot more tournaments now and I am doing better for other teams as well”, stated Wiese while expressing his gratitude to Lahore Qalandars.

The South African-Namibian cricketer has till now played 36 times for Lahore Qalandars and has become a bonafide member f the franchise.
