Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah Invites Argentina Football Team to Visit Lyari

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has invited the Argentina national football team to visit Lyari, a neighborhood in Karachi famous for its love of football. He extended this invitation during a meeting with Argentine Ambassador Sebastian Sayus, aiming to strengthen ties between Sindh and Argentina.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Shah highlighted investment opportunities in Karachi’s water treatment projects. He mentioned that the Sindh government has secured $50 million from the World Bank for treating saline water. He encouraged Argentine investors to participate in these projects, especially in converting seawater for urban use.

Ambassador Sayus expressed interest in investing in Sindh, particularly in establishing warehouses. In response, Chief Minister Shah directed the Investment, Food, and Irrigation Departments to coordinate with the Argentine delegation to explore these opportunities.

To foster cultural and sports connections, the Chief Minister invited the Argentina football team to play at Lyari’s famous Kakri Ground. They also discussed plans to develop a local football team in Sindh, with Argentine players participating in training matches to inspire young talent in the region.
