Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates, is gearing up to unveil the world’s largest artificial wave facility later this year. Surf Abu Dhabi, situated on Hudayriat Island, promises to deliver an unmatched surfing experience with the world’s longest ride, the biggest barrel, and the largest man-made wave pool.

The groundbreaking project is part of Modon Properties’ comprehensive master plan for Hudayriat Island, covering an expansive area of 51 million square meters. The island is set to transform into a vibrant sporting destination, with the upcoming Velodrome Abu Dhabi also on the horizon, scheduled for launch in 2025.

The development of Hudayriat Island will go beyond the realm of water sports. The ambitious plans include a 220-kilometer network of cycle tracks, making it an ideal destination for cycling enthusiasts.
