The pursuit of the latest technological marvels often comes at a steep price, both figuratively and literally. In the case of Pakistan, aspiring iPhone owners are confronted with a staggering financial hurdle.

iPhone, a challenging task for Pakistanis

On average, Pakistanis find themselves in the unenviable position of having to allocate a whopping 816% of their monthly income to lay claim to the coveted iPhone 15 Pro Max. This puts Pakistan slightly ahead of Egypt at 821%, yet significantly behind Nigeria at 754%, in terms of the income-to-iPhone affordability ratio.

To put this into perspective, the base price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max 256 GB in the United States is $1100, which equates to approximately Rs. 324,961 at the current exchange rate of Rs. 295. However, prospective buyers in Pakistan can anticipate even heftier costs, considering additional charges and import duties.
