U.S. Military Magazine Commends Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir

The U.S. Central Command’s magazine, Unipath, has recognized General Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, as a strong advocate against violent extremism. Since assuming his role in November 2022, General Munir has led Pakistan’s armed forces with a focus on counter-terrorism, stability, and national security.

The publication praised General Munir’s leadership, emphasizing his commitment to Pakistan’s prosperity and the military’s success under his command. In his tenure, over 22,000 intelligence-based operations have been conducted, leading to the elimination of nearly 400 terrorists. These operations targeted extremist groups within Pakistan and beyond, including actions against hideouts in Iran.

Unipath highlighted General Munir’s stance on counter-terrorism, emphasizing his message that terrorists must respect state authority.
