Zee Zindagi Removes ‘Barzakh’ from YouTube Amid Controversy

Zee Zindagi has announced that it will be pulling its latest series, Barzakh, from YouTube Pakistan starting August 9. This decision follows public criticism and heated debate since the show’s debut two weeks ago.

Directed by Asim Abbasi, known for Churails and Cake, Barzakh has sparked controversy due to themes some viewers find provocative. The series, featuring an ensemble cast including Fawad Khan, Sanam Saeed, and Salman Shahid, has garnered over four million views on YouTube.

In a statement on their official Instagram, Zindagi expressed gratitude to fans and explained the decision. The network cited public sentiment in Pakistan as the reason for withdrawing the show, aiming to respect audience preferences while continuing to provide quality content.
