Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam etched his name in the record books today, becoming only the second batsman in history to score 4,000 runs in Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket. Azam achieved this feat during the fourth T20I match against England at Kennington Oval in London.

Babar Azam reached the milestone with his 13th run in the innings, taking 112 innings to reach the mark. Notably, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli holds the record for the fastest to reach 4,000 T20I runs, achieving it in 107 innings.

While opening the batting alongside Mohammad Rizwan, Azam contributed 36 runs off just 22 balls, including five boundaries and a six. This crucial knock helped Pakistan get off to a strong start, with the duo building a solid 59-run partnership for the first wicket.
