Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief, Mohsin Naqvi, has reaffirmed that Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy 2025, dismissing recent reports suggesting a possible relocation or a hybrid hosting model. Speaking at a recent press conference, Naqvi, who also serves as Pakistan’s interior minister, confidently asserted that the tournament would be held in Pakistan as originally planned.

When questioned about the speculation surrounding the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) consideration of alternative hosting arrangements, Naqvi firmly cut off the reporter, stating, “The Champions Trophy will take place in Pakistan, InshaAllah (with the grace of Allah).”

His statement comes amid mounting rumors about logistical challenges and security concerns potentially forcing the ICC to explore hybrid hosting options or move the event altogether. However, Naqvi’s comments showcases Pakistan’s determination to move forward with its preparations, maintaining that the country is ready to host one of cricket’s most prestigious events.
