Govt Announces Shocking Increase In Petrol Prices For The Next 15 Days

In a recent turn of events, Pakistan’s caretaker government surprised the nation with yet another increase in petroleum prices with effect from February 1.

Petrol by 13, diesel by 2

As per the official readings, after adding Rs.13.55, the new petrol price has reached 272.89, and diesel, with an up of Rs.2.75, reached Rs.278.96. Meanwhile, the kerosene price is decreased by 24 paise per liter.

Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) announced a revised LPG price of Rs.17 reaching Rs.267.60. In addition, the shortfall of gas is now forcing citizens to switch to domestic LPG cylinders which now cost Rs.3,400.

Sources reveal that this revision took place because of circulating tensions in the Middle East with the fluctuation of prices for oil under economic consideration.
