Hindu Man Appointed as PSP Officer in Pakistan, Marking Historic First

Rajender Meghwar has made history by becoming the first Hindu officer in Pakistan’s Police Service (PSP). Meghwar, originally from Badin, an underprivileged district in Sindh, is now serving as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Faisalabad’s Gulberg division.

Meghwar achieved this milestone after successfully passing the prestigious Central Superior Services (CSS) exams and earning a coveted position in the PSP. Reflecting on his journey, ASP Meghwar expressed immense pride and gratitude for achieving his dream of serving the people through the police force.

Speaking about his new role, Meghwar highlighted the unique opportunities it provides to address community issues directly.“By being in the police department, we can resolve issues of people on the ground, which we cannot do in other departments,” he explained.
