India secured a tense six-wicket victory over Pakistan in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, thanks to a composed innings from their captain Harmanpreet Kaur.

The match, held in Dubai on Sunday, saw Pakistan struggle to a modest total of 105-8 in 20 overs, as India’s bowling unit applied consistent pressure.

India’s run chase started comfortably, with the team at 61-1. However, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana briefly turned the tide by claiming two wickets in two consecutive balls, putting India in a tricky situation.

Kaur, however, displayed her trademark resilience, scoring a critical 29 off 24 deliveries. Her performance took India to the verge of victory.
