Karachi Police Announces Traffic Plan For PSL 8 Matches Starting Today

The Karachi Traffic Police recently announced its traffic plan for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8. The event is scheduled to take place in Karachi from February 14th to 26th and the authorities are gearing up to ensure a smooth flow of traffic during the matches.

PSL 8: Traffic plan for Karachi to avoid any conflict

According to the traffic plan, several roads leading to the National Stadium will be closed to vehicular traffic on match days. The police have designated alternate routes for commuters to ensure minimum inconvenience. Additionally, parking areas have been identified and marked for the public and the players. Spectators are advised to use public transport or park their cars in the designated parking areas and walk to the stadium.

As per the official details, people coming from Karsaz are advised to park their vehicles at the National Coaching Center and China Ground which will be accessible through Habib Rehmatullah Road and the National Stadium flyover on Sir Shah Suleman Road.

From Millenium Mall to National Stadium and other routes

Vehicles coming in from Gulistan-e-Jauhar can park at the National Coaching Center and China Ground at Sir Shah Suleman Road toward the right side of the stadium flyover on Pir Sabghatullah Shah Rashidi Road.

Spectators arriving from New Town should also park in the same area on Sir Shah Sulaiman Road toward the left side of Aga Khan Hospital connected to National Stadium and then on the right side of Pir Sabghatullah Shah Rashidi Road via Sir Shah Sulaiman Road.

Other than that, the traffic police have also made parking available at Dalmia near Gharib Nawaz Football Ground. For spectators, a shuttle service will also be operational and original identity cards are mandatory to enter the stadium.

Complete closure of several roads

Due to security reasons, Liaquatabad No.10 and Hassan Square bridge will be completely closed to traffic. The police have also deployed additional personnel to manage the traffic during the matches. Traffic wardens will be stationed at key locations to guide commuters and ensure that the traffic moves smoothly.

The Karachi Traffic Police has urged the public to cooperate with the authorities and follow the traffic plan to avoid any inconvenience. The police have advised commuters to plan their routes in advance and leave early to reach their destinations on time.
