Masjid-ul-Haram Named World’s Most Expensive Building

The Telegraph has named Masjid-ul-Haram in Makkah as the world’s most expensive construction site, with a cost of $100 billion. This sacred mosque, spanning 400,800 square meters, can accommodate up to four million worshippers, making it the holiest and most grandiose site in Islam.

The list also highlights the Abraj al-Bayt (Clock Towers) in Makkah, which ranks as the second most expensive site at $15 billion. Other significant mentions include Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa and, Marina Bay Sands, and Las Vegas’ Cosmopolitan. Additionally, Mukesh Ambani’s Mumbai residence, Antilia, and Dubai’s Burj Khalifa are featured.
