South Africa emerges as a significant mover in the rankings, climbing two places to fourth position with a rating of 250, trailing England by a mere two points. Meanwhile, the West Indies hold steady in sixth place with 249 points, maintaining a slim lead over Pakistan.

The ICC clarifies that the rankings update considers performances from May 2021 onwards with India’s notable series triumph over Australia under Virat Kohli’s captaincy which concluded in January 2021, falling outside the rankings period.
