Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered decisive action against individuals involved in recent riots in Islamabad, emphasizing the need to safeguard the country’s economic stability. The announcement came during a high-level security meeting attended by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and other senior officials.

“We will not allow anyone to create chaos or disrupt our rapidly stabilizing economy,” Sharif stated. He instructed authorities to accelerate efforts in identifying and prosecuting those responsible for the recent violence and vandalism that caused damage to both public and private property in the capital.

Sharif stressed the importance of fairness, urging officials to ensure that innocent civilians are not detained during the crackdown. A dedicated task force has been assigned to gather evidence and manage the investigations.

Additionally, Sharif directed the Ministry of Law to integrate the Federal Prosecution Service into its framework and fast-track the construction of a new jail in Islamabad, with funds to be released immediately.
