The ICC stated that Shaheen’s strong performance in the series has led to his rise up the rankings, surpassing his teammate Haris Rauf in 22nd place. England’s Adil Rashid holds the number one spot while New Zealand’s Ish Sodhi also gained five spots to reach 18th following three wickets for New Zealand in the series against Pakistan.

In the T20I rankings for batters, India’s Suryakumar Yadav tops the list with New Zealand’s Tim Seifert and Mark Chapman also making gains. Opener Tim Seifert moved up three places to take the 24th spot, while teammate Mark Chapman made a significant jump of 12 places to reach the 33rd spot overall.
