The highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy is set to return in 2025, with Pakistan as the host nation. The proposed schedule, revealed last Sunday, outlines a thrilling tournament featuring the top eight teams from the 2024 ODI World Cup.

As per the proposed schedule, the tournament will be held across three Pakistani cities: Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, from February 19th to March 9th. Divided into two groups, the top two teams from each will battle it out for a chance to be crowned champion.

India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand will face off in Group A, while Group B features England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan. Cricket enthusiasts are particularly excited about the much-awaited clash between India and Pakistan on March 1st in Lahore.

While all member countries have confirmed their participation with the ICC, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to make a final decision, pending consultation with the government.
