Aun Ali Khosa, the YouTuber widely recognized for his satirical hit “Bill Bill Pakistan,” has safely returned home, as confirmed by his lawyer on Monday. The Lahore High Court (LHC) had recently ordered the police to secure Khosa’s return by August 20, following concerns raised by his wife, Binish Iqbal, who believed he was being held unlawfully.
Khosa’s lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, shared the good news on X, expressing gratitude by saying, “Alhamdulillah, he is safe, strong, and resolute. May Allah continue to protect him and his family.”
Khosa’s disappearance had sparked widespread concern, with the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) voicing alarm over the situation. The HRCP suspected that Khosa’s detention might be connected to his work in satire and had urged for his swift recovery, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding freedom of expression.
