Conor McGregor has announced discussions for a potential boxing exhibition match against Logan Paul in India. The event, reportedly backed by the prominent Ambani family, marks McGregor’s first step toward a return to combat sports after a prolonged break.

Addressing speculation, McGregor denied rumors of a fight with UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria. “The rumors of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in an exhibition in India. I have agreed,” McGregor confirmed on social media. He also shared plans to re-enter the UFC octagon after the exhibition.

This announcement follows a turbulent period for McGregor, who recently faced legal and financial challenges. Last month, a court ordered him to pay £200,000 to Nikita Hand over allegations of sexual assault from an incident in Dublin eight years ago. Combined with a canceled summer fight against Michael Chandler due to injury, McGregor’s fighting future had been uncertain.

Logan Paul, known for his crossover boxing events, last fought Dillon Danis in 2023 and previously faced Floyd Mayweather in 2021. Fans now await official confirmation of this high-profile matchup in India, which promises to be a landmark event.
